A BOOC is a PDF document that features:
- Images of the different video sequences of a MOOC (massive open online course) video
- Their corresponding transcripts
- A space to take notes
- Links to return to video sequences
- A link to a video sequence search tool to dig into the entire course
BOOCs facilitate the compilation of video content into written form, allow for note-taking, summarizing, and rapid retrieval of specific course segments. They serve as a basis for retaining and revising material. They can be used in electronic format (note-taking on keyboard, click to corresponding video) or in paper format (note-taking by hand, QR code to corresponding video).
