21.11.14Scientists at EPFL and University of Geneva have discovered how the same genes under the same regulation can still produce different organs in the developing fetus. The discovery brings a new understanding of how genes have evolved and how they are controlled by extremely precise mechanisms.
20.11.14The Isabelle Musy Prize has been awarded to the genetic engineering researcher Verónica Ponce de León. Worth 50,000 Swiss francs, the award aims to support the creation of start-ups in French-speaking western Switzerland. “Innovation Therapeutics” will be particularly focused on cell therapy for eyes.
