When a report is transmitted to the President of EPFL, the latter may decide that it is necessary to clarify the facts by opening an administrative enquiry. The enquiry is then conducted by an external and independent person who submits a report and recommendations to the President.
EPFL monitors the results of the investigations carried out, with a view to continuous improvement. Between 2020 and 2022, EPFL opened 3 administrative investigations concerning a faculty member. When the investigations confirmed the existence of illegal acts, measures were systematically taken. An activity report is published here.
