A Boll & Roche Cie production
Six comedian-dancers and three musicians tell, through dance, music and theatre, the life of
Albert Einstein. Through notes and motions, phrased by excerpts of correspondence, one inserts oneself into the biography of the physicist, graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Zürich. Bodies tell the story of a fascinated and fascinating man.
« Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere. » Albert Einstein

Created in 2016 by Stéphanie Boll and Alain Roche, this show was born in the Valais canton.
Originally, the artists wished to make a biographical show – the reading of « Mein Weltbild ; The World As I See It », a political and philosophical essay written by Einstein, makes them more interested by the physicist.
« What moved me in this essay, mentions Stéphanie Boll, is that Einstein wrote that he used
physics as a way to understand the world, grasp the mystery. And this is what we all try to do, with music, with dance. It seemed to me as a bridge between art and science. »
François Maréchal, EPFL professor at the Valais Wallis campus, reckons that Albert Einstein is the personnification of creativity. Or, he mentions, creativity often manifests itself out of the box, when thoughts are free to sail on different planes at the same time. One often solves a problem when we are doing something else entirely.
Yet another reason to break walls between art and science.
