Mieko Miyasaki and Franck Wolf form a rare, original duet which shares a sensible complicity. In their music, borders cease to exist. Only their inextinguishable desire to explore and discover brings them to travel through the different universes that intrinsically compose them. The saxophone’s inspired chants flirt with the elegant charm of the koto instrument, while written music talks freely with improvisation.
When seeing the two protagonists’ brillant careers, we understand easily why the alchemy that follows their encounter comes so obvious. For the time of a concert, this duet delicately takes our hand to a precious moment full of generosity. A moment where languages intertwine to create a universe filled with lyricism and unique emotions.
