GRRRR: METROPOLITAN DRAWING
I love walking city streets. Aroused by the density of urban life, I find a bench to rest and start to document my surroundings with pen on paper.
The practice of resting in the midst of traffic and human thoroughfare to observe and reproduce any detail in my picture frame allows me to merge with the city on many levels. I literally become a part of it. Over the
years, I have assimilated a large archive of these urban recordings.
In my talk I will guide you through parts of this archive (from the website GRRRR.net) and reflect on my experience of drawing architecture in general.
