Part of the JATP Festival
This year, the JATP festival – Jazz at the polytechnique, Dance Day (organised by DanceSquare) and Dance Day meet for a day. On the Esplanade, live music and dance will give rhythm to the midday break ! DanceSquare is composed of EPFL students fond of all kind of dances, from waltz to breakdance and folk dance. This association regularly offers parties, initiations and animations and even more on the campus for this week dedicated to motion.

Performance : Human BeatBok by the Cie ZeitSprung
With this new creation, the Cie ZeitSprung invites passers-by in the creation of a rhythm and invites them to dance together. With a microphone and a sound loop recorder, a musician will record the sounds of passers-by and of the environment to create rhythm. Sounds thus recorded will form a music on which everyone is invited to dance.

In the 28 participant towns
From May 4th to 17th
The 12th national edition of Dance Day comes back to spread its energy in the 28 participant towns. It is four days to celebrate dance in all of its shapes, in theaters, cultural centers and in public spaces. Shows, demonstrations, battles, parties, film projections, disco kids,… everyone can create his/her programme ! And everywhere dance lessons, of all kinds, for young and less young, beginners or pros. A unique experience to live in family, between lovers, friends or by oneself !
