Necessary documents
- Identity Card (with latin characters) or passport. It’s better to bring your passport, since it has the barcode and it’s possible to make your live easier for some processes.
- If you have health insurance in Greece, you need to obtain the european health insurace card from your insurance provider in Greece. Then you have to bring it with you in Switzerland.
- All the necessary documents, officially translated and validated, that the secretary of your university program has asked.
- Color identity photos. You will need a bunch of them for different cases, such as the permit of residence, the transportation card, the student Camipro card etc. Of course you can take some photos here, but better to have them ready from early.
For Bachelor/Master students
- Translated documents from the bank, stating the amount of money in your parents’ account for at least the last 3 months.
- Translated copy of your parents’ last year tax declaration.
- This form filled in and signed by your parents.
- Copies of the identity cards of your parents.
The above documents are necessary because the master and bachelor students are not being paid in Switzerland, thus the authorities and the real estate offices cannot know your financial state. With these documents, your parents guarantee that they can and will cover you financially during your studies. The first two documents are needed for the permit of residence, while together with the next two you can apply for housing outside the student residences.
