Easter in the Ukrainian style named “Velykden”: traditional cuisine, delicious authentic Ukrainian borscht and many other interesting things. All this could be enjoyed from April 18 to 19 on the territory of EPFL as part of the Agepoly event “Back from Paques”!
During the event, AKULA organized interesting master classes. You could paint your Easter egg with Hnat Lesiv’s help. Also, under the guidance of Halushko Nadiia, you could make a handmade postcard. And with Anna Khtema you were able to create your own handmade Easter bunny toy and Motanka (Ukrainian traditional rag doll).
It was incredibly atmospheric. Everyone could take a booklet with interesting facts about Ukraine. Moreover, a quiz was held with questions to check what you know about Ukraine. Most of the participants received prizes in the form of Paska (traditional Easter cake). Many thanks to Le Sémaphore for all the delicious food they prepared for the event.
Also, during the event, it was possible to collect charitable funds to help the Ukrainian Children’s Clinic “Okhmatdyt”.
