The EPDA has specialized working groups for important topics concerning the PostDoc life.
Social Events
Join our social and networking events to develop relationships with your peers all across EPFL!
These events (sport activities, aperitif and more) are the ideal place to meet new people, develop your network, share your experience, know more about and get involved in the association, and importantly just relax and enjoy nice time with friends and colleagues!
Policy
The EPFL postdoc community counts over 1000 heads and we are classified as crucial for EPFL’s world-class research. On an administrative level postdocs belong to the intermediate body which also includes PhD students and staff scientists.
The main mission of the EPDA policy working group is to be a strong voice for postdocs and make ourselves heard at all levels.

Career Development
The Career Development team provides support for Postdocs’ career development in order to maximise Postdoc’s professional experience at EPFL and to provide them tools and skills to prepare the next step in the career, either in academia or in the private sector.
In particular, we are organising training, workshops and networking events to support Postdocs in their job search, to give them the opportunity to acquire and sharpen their leadership and coaching skills, to learn how to manage time and projects efficiently, or again to help them to set-up their professional plans in alignment with their aspirations and expertise.

Sustainability
Local, collective and sustainable actions are needed to transform EPFL into a responsible community and mitigate our impact on the environment. The goals of the Sustainability working group is to develop strong collaborations and connect with the different actors at EPFL acting in this direction, to raise awareness among the scientific community regarding climate related issues, and more importantly to turn this awareness into sustainable actions.
