About Us

EPIC (previously Graduate Student Association) is run by volunteer PhD students. We organize various social and educational activities and events for graduate students, including various informative panels and talks, out-of-the-box talks (given by students on a topic of their choice), regular after-work events as well as outdoor activities. All of our in-house events are free and generously sponsored by the Dean’s office. We also organize welcome events and run the PhD Buddy Program aimed at helping new students integrate with the school and Lausanne.
EPIC is always looking for motivated volunteers to help organizing existing or new events. If you are interested in helping out or have ideas and suggestions of your own, feel free to contact us!

Mission
Our mission is to serve the graduate student body of the School of Computer and Communication Sciences through representation on faculty and administrative bodies, by encouraging the sharing of information both among students and with outside organizations, and by fostering a sense of community within the School by means of various social events and activities.
