Your very dear Robopoly 2024-2025 Committee!
Robopoly
Robopoly is an association that allows students to gain practical experience in addition to their studies. We provide a workplace that allows them to work on personal projects. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, the space is open to everyone. Our goal is to keep the entry fee as low as possible so that everyone has access to the space. That’s why we offer several introductory electronics kits that will help you get started in these fields. Additionally, you can also take advantage of our soldering, 3D printing, electronics, and microcontroller programming workshops. Robopoly also provides a wide selection of electronic equipment, which is either sold at purchase price or offered through donations.
Our main goal is to facilitate your personal projects; don’t hesitate to contact us! You can also come directly to us; we’re open every Monday evening to help you, offer advice, and respond to your needs.
To facilitate the first steps in the field of robotics, Robopoly offers an introductory kit, developed by the committee. The PRisme kit includes, for a price of CHF 20, all the elements needed to build and program an autonomous robot capable of multiple tasks, such as following a line or avoiding obstacles, in a fun and structured way. All the information on the kit components and the assembly and user guides are here.
This kit offers you a learning experience in electronics and programming, while helping you water your plants! For a price of 25 CHF, you will learn how to integrate sensors and actuators with the ESP-32 to create a self-sufficient system thanks to WiFi / Bluetooth integrations. All the information on the kit components and the assembly and usage guides are here.
Robopoly members acquire knowledge and skills that go beyond the academic sphere, but which will be very useful to them in their future engineering careers. Unfortunately, the association cannot offer all this without solid funding and is therefore continually seeking partnerships and sponsors to enable it to provide its services sustainably and expand to meet ever-increasing demand. Robopoly offers its sponsors good visibility, both among future EPFL engineers, but also in the eyes of the general public during the events in which it participates. Do not hesitate to contact us at robopoly@epfl.ch for any additional information.
Committee
Robopoly is always recruiting; former committee members graduate and the new committee takes over each year. If you’d like to help organize Robopoly and its events, let a committee member know. We’ll gladly invite you to one of our upcoming meetings.
Rules
