SV Happy Hour
One of SV’s most treasured traditions! On the last Friday of every month, a SV lab will volunteer to host a themed event, bringing together all of SV for socialising, music, and sometimes dancing!
Ski Retreat
Our biggest and by far the most popular event of the year! Join 100 of your fellow PhD’s on a weekend getaway in the Swiss Alps for skiing, thermal baths, games, a little bit of science, music, and dancing.
Yoga Session
Once every month, we invite a certified instructor to teach us how to relax, because from time to time, we deserve to learn how to take it chill from our exhilarating life of research 🙂
Halloween Party
One of our two biggest events of the year! Express your creativities through pumpkin carving, and dance the night away with a bunch of monsters and ghosts in a secluded chalet.
Tea Time Tuesday
Join us every two weeks for a cup of tea or coffee and some snacks in SV Hall to chat and catch up with fellow PhD’s! All you need is your mug and a story from the weekend and you’re all set.
Board Game Night
Every month, we have one night of board games with some food and drinks. Will you make new friends, or will you destroy them all on your path towards victory?
Hiking
Every now and then, we organise and fund chill hiking for PhD students all around Swiss Romandy, which can involve tourist-y site visits and lunch!
Mystery Night
A night of intense dialogues where PhD’s dress up as the character they are playing, navigate through characters with multitudes of motivations, and try to solve a mystery before it is too late.
