Infoscience: new platform, new features

EPFL

A new version of Infoscience was deployed on July 22, 2024, marking a major milestone in the evolution of EPFL’s institutional platform. True to its new slogan, "Unlocking Knowledge," Infoscience aims to support Open Science, in particular EPFL's Open Access policy through self-archiving (green route). The new interface enhances the visibility and accessibility of EPFL authors’ works and publications, thus facilitating the wide dissemination of the institution’s knowledge and research.

Read & Publish agreement with Elsevier 2024-2028

EPFL

In the framework of the Swiss national strategy on Open Access, swissuniversities, on behalf of the Swiss Higher Education Institutions, and Elsevier signed a second transformative agreement Read & Publish (2024-2028). This new contract covers Elsevier's entire journal portfolio, including Cell Press and the Lancet titles.

Since 2021, the EPFL Library has been purchasing ebooks via an Evidence-Based Acquisition (EBA) model, which is essentially based on ebook usage.
