First aid team

Everyone may be affected, at one time or another, by a medical emergency. The means employed save people’s lives (for example cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR, defibrillation, etc.). A first aider can help you in the case of: heart ailments, bleeding and wounds, fractures, diabetes, bites or stings, state of shock, traffic accidents.

EPFL first aiders mainly operate during the various events that take place at EPFL and the STCC, and can also be called upon to support the emergency unit.

Anyone who wishes to join the EPFL first aid team, ready to intervene on the campus and during EPFL events, and whose application is accepted, will receive a two-day BLS-AED IAS 1 certified training, as well as upgrading courses that take place several times a year. First aiders who already have a valid certification are, of course, welcome.
