Menu management

Information

  • By default newly created pages are not automatically added to a menu in WordPress. It is therefore up to the webmaster to add them manually.
  • The EPFL theme has several locations for the menu. However, you must use the menu entitled Main (fr) (Primary) Français or the Main Menu Français.
  • There is one menu per language. Thus for multilingual sites, when editing it is necessary to regularly switch menus, as the editing of the menu in one language is not reported in the other language.

Select the menu to be edited

In Edit mode, WordPress displays only one menu at a time. Depending on the changes to be made, you will have to start by selecting a menu. Selecting one menu over another has no effect on its visibility.

If the currently active menu is the one you want to edit you can skip this item and go directly to the Edit Menu section.

  1. From the WordPress Main Navigation menu, choose Appearance > Menu
  2. In Select the menu to edit drop-down menu, choose the menu to edit
  3. Click on the Select button
