Old Age and Survivors Insurance (AVS)
The contribution is 5.3% of the gross monthly salary (reduced by any maintenance allowances not subject to contributions).
The reference age (retirement age) for men is 65. For women the reference age increases depending on their year of birth:
64 years (born in 1960)
64 years and 3 months (born in 1961)
64 years and 6 months (born in 1962)
64 years and 9 months (born in 1963)
65 years (for those born in or after 1964)

Unemployment insurance (AC)
The contribution is 1.1% up to a gross monthly salary (reduced by any maintenance allowances not subject to contributions) of Fr. 12,350; i.e., Fr. 148,200 annually.

At the end of the employment relationship, the employee may ask for an employer’s certificate (attestation de l’employeur) in order to claim his/her right to unemployment insurance benefits. The request for the “attestation” should be sent to [email protected].
Cantonal supplementary benefits insurance for families (PC Families / Vaud)
The contribution is 0.06% of the gross monthly salary (reduces any maintenance allowances not subject to contributions).
