As a postdoc, you may potentially teach, subject to certain rules:
- Please check the source of funding for your position. Some European contracts exclude teaching.
- In all cases, the agreement of your line manager is required if teaching takes place during EPFL working hours. This is especially true if the planned teaching is not related to your unit.
- Section directors manage teaching plans. Please contact your section to find out which courses are taught and what opportunities there are for you to become involved in teaching. Teaching plans are drawn up at least 1 year in advance, so get in early.
- CEPRO can also advise you on teaching opportunities within its organisation.
- If you are a full-time employee, no additional remuneration will be paid for teaching hours.
