We are happy to announce the third edition of the EDCE research day. This is an annual event to foster scientific exchange and social interactions among the members of the EDCE program, both students and thesis directors.
It is our goal that every EDCE student will present their work at least once during the research day, such that everyone’s work gets visibility in our program.
This year the EDCE research day will be held on October 10, 14 – 18h, and it will feature:
– a poster session to showcase the research of our 3rd year doctoral students
– Poster awards
– alumni keynotes
– an panel discussion on career, in which students can gain informal information on life after PhD
The research day is open (and recommended) to all EDCE students (not only 3rd year), thesis directors and collaborators.
Posters
There will be posterboards, A0 size, 177cm high and 100cm wide, where you can nail your poster. The boards will be at place from 11h the same morning so you can bring your printed poster well before the event that starts at 14h00. Find the board with your assigned number and nail your poster. You won’t have to make a presentation of your poster, (though you are of course welcome to if you want).
If you can’t attend, you have the possibility to attend next year, or, if you wish you can ask a collegue to bring your poster. Inform the EDCE office if you have been asked to make a poster, but don’t have the possibility.
If you are a 4 year student, and couldn’t show your work in the EDCE event last year, you are invited to bring your poster to this year’s event.
Send a pdf copy of your poster some days before the event to the edce office.
Best poster awards
There will be three prizes awarded for the best posters.
So make sure to give your best 🙂
Food and drinks
We will end the event with ample food and drinks for some nice discussions and get together.
