The Arrangement Commission only reviews requests that include ALL of the following information:
-
Application form filled in and duly signed
- Previously granted arrangement (if existing)
-
Report* and/or recent assessments of a specialist. The report of a spacialist (doctor, neuropsychologist, psychotherapist or DYS specialist) must be recent (less than 2 years), written in one of the official Swiss languages (French, German, Italian) or in English and provide the following informations:
- The diagnosis for which you are requesting special arrangements for examinations (according to ICF/CIM or DSM)
- The functional limitations resulting from your medical condition and how these affect your ability to take exams (This is the justification of your request for a special arrangement when you take the exam).
- The likely progression of the health issue (permanent or potential evolution with treatment).
- Precise quantification of the extra time required for written and/or oral examinations (e.g. 20%, 33%, etc) and/or other support measures or means that would enable you to overcome the impact of your limitations.
If the report/assessment does not contain ALL the information listed above, it is imperative that the specialist fills in the: specialist form.
In case of missing information, the application will not be considered and the complete application must be resubmitted in a single PDF.
The request should be sent to [email protected] in a single PDF document and in the following order:
- Application form
- Report/accessment
- Previously granted arrangement
Twice a semester, an EPFL Commission examines the arrangement requests and sends its decisions to students about 3 weeks after the submission deadline.
Students needs to confirm they accept the arrangement decided by the Commission.
Once confirmed, the arrangement:
- is communicated to the teaching staff
- is valid for the entire current curriculum (except in special cases or for temporary arrangements for which a semestrial or annual reassessment is necessary)
