The Arrangement Commission only reviews requests that include ALL of the information.
Documents to submit
1. Application form (compulsory)
This Application form must be precisely filled in and duly signed.
2. Report of a specialist (compulsory)
The report of a specialist (doctor, neuropsychologist, psychotherapist or DYS specialist) must be recent (less than 2 years), written in one of the official Swiss languages (French, German, Italian) or in English and provide the following information:
- The diagnosis for which you are requesting special arrangements for examinations (according to ICF/CIM or DSM).
- The functional limitations resulting from your medical condition and how these affect your ability to take exams (This is the justification of your request for a special arrangement when you take the exam).
- The likely progression of the health issue (permanent or potential evolution with treatment).
- Precise quantification of the extra time required for written and/or oral examinations (e.g. 20%, 33%, etc) and/or other support measures or means that would enable you to overcome the impact of your limitations.
Warning: If the report does not contain ALL of the above-mentioned elements, it is imperative that the specialist completes the following document, which outlines the information required: specialist form.
3. Previously granted arrangement (if existing)
If you have benefited from arrangement in the past, please add to your application the documents specifying what you were entitled to.
4. Tests, assessments (if existing)
If the tests and assessments that enabled the specialist to make his diagnosis and recommendations are available, please add them to your application.
Transmission of the request
Warning: In case of missing information, the application will not be considered and the complete application must be resubmitted in a single PDF.
Applications should be sent to sae.amenagements@epfl.ch in a single PDF document and in the order listed above.
Twice a semester, an EPFL Commission examines the arrangement requests and sends its decisions to students about 3 weeks after the submission deadline.
Students needs to confirm they accept the arrangement decided by the Commission.
Once confirmed, the arrangement:
- is communicated to the teaching staff
- is valid for the entire current curriculum (except in special cases or for temporary arrangements for which a semestrial or annual reassessment is necessary)
