During the Nyon Paléo Festival in 2012 the organisation team decided to finance an explanatory work on access conditions toward the show site.
The purposes of this study was to think about the saturation of The Nyon-St Cergue train and of a possible development of car pooling in a short or medium term. Lead by the LASUR (Laboratory of Urban Sociology), and realized through the Transportation Center of EPFL, this work was carried out thanks to an internet survey.
4000 answers were obtained. Results shows that festival goers already use to share car with family members or friends. Then, various obstacles to the development of the car pooling during the festival were highlighted.
