The aim of this project is to present a prospective analysis of the logic of modal choice to the transnational urban population of Greater Geneva, the cantons of Vaud and Berne.
This research aims to report on the action logics underlying the population’s modal practices and their evolution. The research provides detailed insights into the transport habits of the area’s workers, breaking down the findings according to people’s place of residence, age, educational attainment, and more.
The first step focuses on data from Greater Geneva, that includes the population of the canton plus the French and Vaudois sectors. In a second step, the researchers will carry out the same work for the Bernese conurbation and the canton of Vaud.
