Ophélie Dozat is an architect and researcher. Graduated in 2018 at the school of architecture of Versailles (ENSAV), she obtained a master’s degree in visual culture in the school of social sciences (EHESS) in Paris. Since 2020, she is pursuing a doctorate in architecture in the laboratory of ENSAV and the University of Cergy-Pontoise with a research project that questions the aesthetic role of the retaining wall in the construction and recognition of the landscape. She co-founded Materra-Matang in 2022 with her associate Lucien Dumas, an office developing pluridisciplinary projects between architecture, furniture and research. They’ve received the prize of the Young Architects and Landscape Albums (AJAP) by the French Ministry of Culture in 2023. The same year, Ophélie was a Fellow at Villa Medici (French Academy in Rome).
