Prof. Maria Colombo received the EMS Prize 2024 at the European congress of mathematicians (awarded every 4 years to 10 European researchers not older than 35 years).

Dr. Michele Dolce won a very competitive Ambizione Grant. (“Long-time behavior of PDEs in Fluid Dynamics and Kinetic Theories”)

2023

Prof. Maria Colombo received an ERC-SEFRI funds for a period of 5 years to finance the research work with her group.

The project “Irregular Solutions of the Transport, Euler and Navier-Stokes Equations” started on 1st February 2023.

Prof. Maria Colombo received the Collatz Prize 2023 from the International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM). (awarded to individual scientists under 42 years of age for outstanding work on industrial and applied mathematics.

Prof. Maria Colombo received the De Giorgi Prize 2023 from the Italian Mathematical Union for researcher in mathematical analysis under 45 years of age.

Prof. Maria Colombo received the Frontiers of Science Award 2023 (for the paper “Non-uniqueness of Leray solutions of the forced Navier-Stokes equations”) at the International Congress of Basic Science.

Xavier Fernandez-Real won a very competitive Ambizione Grant. (“Elliptic PDEs, free boundary problems, and optimal transport”

Silja was awarded one of the 10 PhD students’ Prize for teaching at EPFL, given from the SMA in 2021.
