- Interdisciplinary study investigating primary production in lakes of decreasing nutrient levels (oligotrophication)
The goal of the interdisciplinary Primary Production Project is:
– to develop and test improved methods of estimating primary productivity and respiration using Lake Geneva as the experimental site: LéXPLORE Platform
– to quantify the short-term and annual variability of the primary productivity and identify the drivers of those variations, and
– to explain the unexpected high productivity despite the decreasing nutrient levels (oligotrophication).
