LOCATION
The village of Saas-Fee is a mountain resort in the German part of the Swiss Canton of Valais/Wallis.
It is located at an altitude of 1800 m. In June temperatures can be very fresh (average: Min 7 Max 18), so dress accordingly. Walking shoes are also recommended (the conference center is a 5 mn walk from the hotel and on Thursday we will go for an easy hike).
TRAVEL TO SAAS-FEE
You will need to arrange your trip to Saas-Fee. We have listed below some useful information and links.
By plane: Geneva Airport and Zürich Airport are roughly equivalent in time to get to Saas-Fee. Both airports have a train station.
By train: Your train destination is Visp/Viège. In Visp/Viège you will need to take a bus to Saas-Fee. The hotel offers a pick-up service from the bus station in Saas-Fee.

By car: Note that Saas-Fee is a car-free village. If you are coming by car, there are parking options outside the center.

Pick-up service: the hotel offers a shuttle service from the central bus station (Busterminal). Please let us know your estimated time of arrival.
VISA
It is your responsibility to check specific requirements to enter Switzerland according to your country of origin. Please check with your local Swiss Embassy for applying regulation.

Within Switzerland, at the moment (09.05.2022) all the restrictions have been lifted.
HEALTH and ACCIDENT
Make sure you have a valid health and accident insurance for the whole duration of your stay with sufficient coverage. This is your responsability.
EPFL will not cover any health/accident related costs.

ACCOMODATION
You will be staying at the Hotel Allalin.
If you wish to arrive earlier than the 5th June or stay longer than the 10th, you can benefit of reduced tariffs:
Shared triple or quadruple rooms: CHF 105.00
Shared twin rooms: CHF 125.00
Double rooms for single use: CHF 165.00
Prices are per person per night incl. full board (breakfast buffet, 3 course lunch and dinner). Visitor’s tax (CHF 7 per day) comes on top.
