NEW! Postdoc position in balance control of an exoskeleton
A position for a talented postdoctoral-level researcher is available in the REHAssist Group. The laboratory BIOROB and the research group REHAssist have established expertise in human locomotion and lower limb exoskeletons. Our research group REHAssist mainly works on lower limb exoskeletons for gait assistance and robotic rehabilitation solutions. Autonomyo is developed for people who have walking impairments due to muscular weakness or motor deficits. Autonomyo has been designed at EPFL.
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to work on partial assistance of gait and balance using an assistive exoskeleton, motorized in flexion/extension (hip and knee) and abduction/adduction (hip).
The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in related fields with demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research and a track record of publications in top venues.
Desirable skills:
* Proficiency with programming languages, most notably C/C++, with Python and MATLAB as a plus;* Experience in control of lower limb exoskeletons, control of balance, or control of humanoid robots.* Experience with patients in clinical studies and gait analysis is a plus.* Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for collaboration.* Proficiency in the English language (written and oral).
