The group REHAssist, led by Dr Bouri, has an established experience in rehabilitation robotics and in the implementation of hybrid strategies using FES for SCI. These activities gave indeed the birth to the company Swortec which commercializes the MotionMaker® and the WalkTrainer®. Both robotic devices, developed at the former laboratory LSRO (Laboratoire de Systèmes Robotiques), are hybrid devices combining actuated orthoses and FES and are dedicated to SCI subjects.
