A new research proposal has recently been approved for funding by the Swiss National Science Foundation:
“Health care costs and the diffusion of medical technologies: Evidence on Swiss data” The project will be a collaboration between CEMI and IEMS – University of Lausanne. |

Marcel Bogers and Prof. Christopher Tucci (EPFL-CSI) organised a symposium on User Innovation and Firm Boundaries at the Academy of Management Meeting in Anaheim, USA. |

A new research project supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation started in June at CEMI:

January 2008 – New post-doc researcher
A new post-doc researcher joined our research team in January. His name is Miguel Abraham Garcia-Torres and he comes from Spain. Before coming to Lausanne, Abraham has been writing his PhD at UNU-Merit in Maastricht.

December 2007 – Expert Group “Knowledge for Growth”
The European Commissioner for Research – J. Potocnik – chaired on November 7 a policy strategy seminar “Knowledge for Growth”.
The seminar was based on the three first reports and brief policy documents of the Expert Group. Invitees were other Commission services and outside experts.
