New publication

— We are very happy to share our latest publication, “Embodied Carbon Premium for Cantilevers,” a cross-disciplinary look into the material and environmental implications of using large cantilevers in buildings, with focus on a case study from the University of Melbourne campus. The findings quantify the significant structural demands that unbalanced cantilevers can place on a building, and raise the question of balance between architectural audacity and structural simplicity
