The Domestic City laboratory (DC-lab) is recruiting a 50% Postdoc Architect (2.5 days/week) from September 2024, on the Lausanne EPFL campus.
Main tasks:
• In support of work already initiated by the laboratory, to conduct research on kitchens with a view to publishing a book (relationship with publisher, call for contributors, curation of student work, etc.). In the long term, theoretical research on kitchens could be developed through project-based research (with external funding).
• Organisation of conferences and symposia
• Fundraising (grants, etc.)
Secondary tasks:
• Participation in final studio critiques
• Occasional contributions to the “Habitat and typology” master’s course
• Coordination of various research activities within the laboratory (in support of a Phd).
Level of training required:
• Phd architect
Qualifications required:
• Good knowledge of collective housing
• Publications
• Teaching experience
• Organised and able to summarise
