Abstract:
In this project decentralised and distributed control strategies are proposed for the voltage regulation of islanded inverter-interfaced AC/DC microgrids. The plug and-play (PnP) functionality of distributed generations (DGs), the robustness with respect to parameter uncertainty and microgrid topology change, distributed voltage controller with minimum information exchange between DG units and their local controllers, can be cast as a robust control problem. The robust controller is a solution of a convex optimisation problem. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is evaluated through simulation studies and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) verifications. The simulation and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategies.
