The Gönczy laboratory is keen on contributing to various outreach activities, not only because they are interesting for both parties, but also because we consider this to be an integral part of our responsibility towards society. The recurrent outreach activities that we contribute to, primarily through laboratory activities, include the following:
- Journée des classes
Classes of school children (aged 10-12) spend a day at EPFL and are introduced to areas of research selected by their teacher (June).
- Journée “osez les métiers”

- Summer camp in Chemical Biology
One week summer camp for young people (aged 11-13) with a keen interest in science; part of a day is spend visiting our laboratory (Summer).
- La Science Appelle les Jeunes
