Maynard Lab – Regeneration and Neurogenomics

Brain Regeneration

Our lab investigates the mechanisms of regeneration and repair primarily in the brain. We focus on species with remarkable regenerative abilities to uncover critical factors driving recovery. Using in vitro and in vivo models, single-cell genomics, spatial analysis, and computational approaches, we aim to understand and harness regenerative potential, paving the way for innovative strategies to treat brain injuries.

Our Research

In Vivo Explorations of Regeneration

We investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying brain injury and regeneration across species

In Vitro Modeling and Engineering Regeneration

We develop advanced in vitro models, including 2D cultures and organoids, to dissect neural stem cell behavior and differentiation.
