Group of Composite Mechanics (GR-MeC)

The Composite Mechanics group (GR-MeC) is exploiting methods and implements ideas for bringing innovation in structural engineering by using new composite materials and structural concepts. Working in areas of renewable energies, focusing in wind energy conversion systems, GR-MeC envisages a global rethinking in designing and manufacturing engineering structures, reinventing scientific areas and shaking-off the erroneous notion that technology and science in these areas have reached their limits and cannot be further improved.
