“I obtained my PhD (2012-2018) in KU Leuven/VIB, Belgium where I investigated astrocyte heterogeneity using single cell transcriptomics. During this period I developed tools to acutely and specifically isolate astrocytes from adult brain and identified five astrocyte subtypes in the cortex and hippocampus of mouse brain expanding previous understanding of astrocyte variability.
Following my PhD, I did my first post-doc in the lab of Konstantin Khodosevich at BRIC, Copenhagen University (2018-2021) where I used single nuclei/spatial transcriptomics and identified neuronal perturbations involved in human schizophrenia. During this period I also managed single cell sequencing core facility and trained researchers to use single cell/spatial genomics tools.
Since mid 2021 I am a post-doctoral researcher in Johannes Gräff lab at EPFL. Here I combine my previous expertise in single cell genomics, psychiatry, and neuron/glia research to decipher epigenetic bases of traumatic memory.”
