“I am a postdoc in the lab of Neuroepigenetics led by Johannes Gräff Lab (EPFL). During my PhD in the lab of Federico Calegari (Dresden, Germany) I studied the role of adult-born neurons in memory formation and the potential of neurogenesis to recover cognitive function during ageing. This triggered my curiosity about the molecular mechanisms regulating memory and possible means to recover it in the context of disease. Thus, I joined forces with Johannes and started a postdoc in his lab with the support of an EMBO postdoctoral fellowship. Here, I study the evolution of engram circuits during consolidation with special interest in hippocampo-cortical interactions. In a parallel project, I investigate molecular approaches to rescue engram function in mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease “
