Boosting and mapping non-invasive brain stimulation techniques.
The project aims to understand the network-level effects of intermittent theta burst stimulation (iTBS) applied over the primary motor cortex.
We use concurrent transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to apply a novel high-frequency iTBS protocol. We further apply single-pulse TMS whilst imaging the spinal cord to delineate the discrete spinal cord circuitries involved in the motor response.
