Silicon-organic hybrid metasurfaces
We design, fabricate, and measure electro-optic devices that can dynamically manipulate light at the nanoscale. Combining theoretical insights with hands-on experimentation, we aim to advance metasurface technology for applications in telecommunications, sensing and adaptive optical systems. As an example, we utilize our hybrid platform for fast modulation of light. The figure below shows a simple schematic of the setup in which we characterize the prototype of our fast spatial light modulation.
So far we achieved a modulation efficiency of 4% for 5v peak to peak RF voltage at 1 MHz modulation frequency. Our goal is to transform research into practical solutions that enhance the field of reconfigurable optics.
