Olga Fink heads EPFL’s Laboratory of Intelligent Maintenance and Operations Systems (IMOS) since 1st March 2022, at the School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering (ENAC). Her research focuses on the development of intelligent algorithms in complex infrastructures and industrial systems. She is a recognized expert in the fields of deep learning and hybrid algorithms for intelligent maintenance systems.
The Prognostics and Health Management Society (PHM Society) awarded her as fellow for the year 2023. PHM Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of PHM as an engineering discipline. The ceremony took place at the Annual PHM Society Conference on 31 October 2023 in Salt Lake City.
On its website, PHM Society explains: “Dr. Olga Fink has demonstrated substantial service to the PHM Society and leadership in the field of AI and physics-informed AI for PHM applications. She drives the academic field by both making methodological contributions, as well as addressing relevant industrial problems. In addition to her academic achievements, she also collaborates with numerous industrial partners, facilitating technology transfer of her methodological developments. She also curates special issues in dedicated journals including IJPHM, Applied Mathematical Modelling, and Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science. Olga has received several awards, including being named as the World Economic Forum’s Young Scientist.”
