CTI project in collaboration with a Swiss industrial partner
Project description
The aim of this project is to develop a haptic interface to give tactile feedback for a touchscreen. A piezoelectric actuator is used to control the friction coefficient of a surface to create impression of variable textures when the user touches the screen using his finger. Non-linear design of experiments methods and FEM analysis are also used to establish empirical model of the squeeze film phenomenon that creates the variation of friction coefficient in order to increase the performances of the actuators.
