A postdoc position is available at the Laboratory of Nanoscale Electronics and Structures at EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland) headed by Prof. Andras Kis. The position is related to quantum transport and optical properties of 2D materials and is funded by the recently awarded prestigious ERC starting grant. The initial contract is for one year, renewable for up to a total of three years. The salary is commensurate with experience.
Our group has at its disposal the full range of characterisation and growth techniques for working with 2D semiconductors. We fabricate devices in the state-of-the-art 1500m2 EPFL class 100 cleanroom (cmi.epfl.ch).
Requirements include a PhD degree in physics or materials science. Proficiency in spoken and written English is also required. Previous experience with cryogenic electrical transport or optical measuremetns is a must.
