TEM allows us to see what we sample in the air and clouds with our own eyes. The sampler collects particles on a grid, which is sent to our collaborators to image and measure. This is an important step in confirming what we see in our fluorescence and chemical analyses of the cloud residuals and aerosols that we measure, and inspecting the conditions and processes that they might have gone through.
