NCCR Catalysis Projects

Since 2020, our group is also part of NCCR Catalysis, a National Center of Competence in Research of the Swiss National Science Foundation, with the goal of developing more efficient and sustainable catalytic processes for the synthesis of fine chemicals. In phase I of the NCCR, we focused especially on catalytic tethered reactions, copper catalysis and photocatalysis. We also initiated our efforts in digital chemistry within the frame of NCCR Catalysis.  With the beginning of phase II of the NCCR in 2024, our focus has moved more towards the use of heterogenous (photo)catalysts in organic chemistry, as well as an increased digitalization of the development of catalytic processes.
