The size, shape, and orientation of building facades are greatly influenced by street configurations. Different patterns of streets (size and shape) may have different effects on building solar potential and its utilization. Street configuration includes street length, street width, aspect ratio, building height, sky view factor, street orientation, and street density. This project proposes a multidisciplinary approach for answering the following question: how street configuration control solar potential particularly for the solar potentials for facades (Figure 2).
