At LFMI, the laboratory of Fluid Mechanics and Instabilities, we aim at understanding and controlling complex flow phenomena, aiming at desigining the simplest possible model accounting for the salient flow properties. We employ a combination of asymptotic analysis, numerical simulations and experiments to unravel physical mechanisms at work in complex flows. Three main topics are under investigation:
Microfluidics
- Simulation of Complex Microfluidic Circuits
- Controlled droplet formation and coaxial instability
- Influence of surfactants
