Fétenders Veronica! ‒ LPHE ‐ EPFL

This Friday 25th August 2023, Veronica Kirsebom (LPHE-OS) successfully presented her thesis entitled Measurement of the B⁺→ρ⁰μ⁺ν_μ differential branching fraction in front of her family, friends and colleagues. During her PhD, Veronica measured the differential branching fraction as a function of the dilepton invariant mass squared relative to the decay B⁺→D⁰μ⁺ν_μ with D $\bar{D^{0}} \to π^{+} π^{-}$ . This measurement will be used to obtain a determination of the $| V_{u b} |$ matrix element from the B⁺→ρ⁰μ⁺ν_μ channel. This measurement is also crucial to understand the rich helicity of this decay and provides more variables to test the Standard Model and to probe new physics.
