The Fall semester has started and new master students are starting new exciting projects, supervised by LPHE members!
This semester, there will be nine students discovering data acquisition and analysis with small-scale experiments in the 2nd floor labs, supervised by Xiafei, Anni and Dimitris (TP4a).
- Cosmic muons, supervised by Dimitris: Samuel, The and Lai
- Analysis of ECAL data, supervised by Anni: Guillaume, Alice and Maxime
- Beta spectrometer, supervised by Xiafei: Juliette, Giacomo, Sasha
Four students will held their specialisation semester by realising two half-semester projects on various topics.
- Guillaume will work in a project on the SciFi R&D (supervised by Federico), then continue Eliot’s project on the analysis of B(s)0→K(s)0 K(s)0 at LHCb (supervised by Kerim).
- Eliot will start by working on the selection of the B(s)0→K(s)0 K(s)0 process at LHCb (supervised by Kerim) and then continue Guillaume’s project on the SciFi (supervised by Federico).
- Pascal will work on SciFi R&D (supervised by Gianluca) and then he will work on the search for B+→K+ τ+ τ– process at LHCb (supervised by Maria).
- Kimberly will work on DAMPE and HERD projects (under the supervision of Chiara).
Finally, four students will do their Master project at LPHE.
- Dariia Berezovska: who will work on charm physics under the supervision of Roberto and directed by Prof. Frédéric Blanc.
- Lucas Pyziak: who will work on developing a selection for tau candidates towards the measurement of B+→τ+ ν branching fraction at LHCb under the supervision of Alexandre and directed by Prof. Olivier Schneider.
- Florent Préau: who will work on ηb decays at LHCb using Run 3 data, supervised by Luismi and directed by Prof. Radoslav Marchevski.
- Onni Salmi: working on the search for the rare decay Λ0b→p K– τ+ τ– under the supervision of Yunxuan and directed by Prof. Lesya Shchutska.
