Last 17th February we welcomed new master students who joined LPHE for the spring semester courses. For the TP4b, nine projects are starting, ranging from LHCb and NA62 data analysis to detector R&D and characterisation. In particular:
- Giacomo Belleri: “Upstream background rejection for K+ to π+νν”, supervised by Xiafei
- Lai Gui: “SiPM Single Photon Time Resolution Measurement”, supervised by Federico
- Samuel Morand: “Selection of the B+→μ+μ−e+νe decay at LHCb”, supervised by Pierre
- Maxime Nemoz: “ML based selections for B+→K+τ+τ–“, supervised by Arvind
- Florence O’Donovan: “Photon detection efficiency and gain measurements in silicon photomultiplier arrays”, supervised by Esteban
- Antoine Sauvion: “ECAL post calibration”, supervised by Irene
- Alice Savona: “Trigger resolution effects on D0→hh′ reconstruction at LHCb Run 3″, supervised by Roberto
- Theau Seydoux: “Flavour tagging with deep learning”, supervised by Yunxuan
- Juliette Spreafico: “Study of B0(s)→K0SK0S modeling at LHCb”, supervised by Kerim

Moreover, Noémie Duc will also join LPHE for her Specialisation Semester Project focused on Search for the rare KS→μμ decay using 2024 LHCb data, supervised by Luismi and Radoslav.
