I completed my Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Indian Institute of Science. My Ph.D. primarily focused on understanding the regulation of flagellar motility in the protozoan pathogens Giardia and Trichomonas using biochemistry and proteomics tools. Additionally, I also worked on characterization of microtubule post-translational modifications in these organisms. Through this work, I developed an interest in working with protists and the diversity of their cytoskeletal organization. At LPL, I am investigating unique cytoskeletal structures in protists and their role in regulation of cellular mechanics. In my free time, I like to cook, watch movies, and go on hikes.
